TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR DONATIONS
Thank you for choosing to donate to Hand Heart Pocket the Charity of Freemasons Queensland (Hand Heart Pocket). We are delighted to have you support us in our efforts to improve the lives of some of Queensland’s most vulnerable people.
Privacy
Hand Heart Pocket has always and will always respect the privacy of all individuals, companies and community organisations who donate money, goods and/or time to us and as such all personal information gathered through donations is entered into a secure database for receipting and communication purposes. Hand Heart Pocket will collect, use and disclose personal information in accordance with our privacy policy.
Purpose of Donation
Hand Heart Pocket will honour the intent of donations received. All general donations will be directed to support the work of Hand Heart Pocket. Any conditional donations received will be utilised according to the condition, where the condition meets the purposes and objects of Hand Heart Pocket. Management will have full discretion to direct where funds are finally utilised.
Declining A Donation
Hand Heart Pocket may wish to decline a donation for another reason, including if the donation is provided for a purpose that is not in accordance with the organisation’s objects and purposes. If a donation is declined it will be fully refunded.
Refunds
Due to the nature of charity donations, refunds are given at the discretion of Hand Heart Pocket. Therefore, please ensure that the amount you enter is the amount you wish to give. If you wish to request a refund in the event of an incorrect amount being entered, or if the donation is made accidently or there is an extremely unusual circumstance, please contact us in writing. We will review the request and respond within 48 hours.
If a donation is refunded, the associated tax receipt is no longer valid and should be destroyed.
